Breathless Los Cabos Beach Review and Trip Guide for 2026

Breathless Los Cabos is an adults-only all-inclusive on the Pacific side of the corridor, and it wants you to know that it's fun. The music is constant. The pool scene is active. The drinks are flowing. If you're looking for a party-forward all-inclusive that doesn't pretend to be a meditation retreat, Breathless delivers exactly what it promises. Whether that's what you want depends entirely on what kind of Cabo trip you're planning.
The Property
Breathless sits on a stretch of Pacific coastline about 15 minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas. The architecture is modern and angular with lots of glass, white surfaces, and geometric pools. The vibe is Miami Beach transported to Baja. Instagram was clearly a consideration in the design process: every pool, every lobby angle, every bar has a photogenic quality that's either appealing or exhausting depending on your relationship with social media.
The beach below the property is Pacific-facing, which means it's dramatic and beautiful and absolutely not swimmable. The waves and undertow are dangerous. This is a pool resort, not a beach resort, despite its name. The pools compensate: there are several, including a main pool with a swim-up bar, a quieter adults pool, and rooftop pool areas with ocean views.
The All-Inclusive
Breathless is part of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection (formerly AMR Collection). The all-inclusive covers all meals, drinks (including premium spirits to a point), room service, entertainment, and access to the spa's hydrotherapy circuit. Multiple restaurants cover Mexican, Asian, Italian, steakhouse, and buffet options.
The food quality is mid-tier all-inclusive: perfectly acceptable, occasionally surprising, never revelatory. The steakhouse is the strongest restaurant. The Mexican spot is decent but won't compete with Edith's or Manta in town. The breakfast buffet is solid with good omelette and fresh juice stations.
The drinks are unlimited and poured generously. The premium spirit selection includes respectable tequila and vodka brands. The cocktails are better than typical all-inclusive (they use fresh juices in some), but still a step below what you'd get at a good Cabo bar.
Rates: $300-600/night all-inclusive for two. Off-season rates can drop below $250.
What Breathless Does Well
- Pool party energy: If you want a lively, social pool scene with DJs, games, and a crowd that came to have fun, Breathless delivers. This is the resort for bachelorette parties and friend groups who want a built-in party infrastructure.
- Adults-only: No kids. Period. The entire property is designed for adults, which means the pool isn't a splash zone and dinner isn't interrupted by toddler meltdowns.
- Value: At $300-600/night all-inclusive for two people, the per-person cost is competitive. If you're going to drink and eat at the resort all day, the math works.
- Entertainment: Nightly shows, theme nights, DJ sets. The programming team earns their salary here.
What Breathless Doesn't Do
- Beach swimming: The Pacific beach is not safe for swimming. If ocean access matters, look at Hyatt Ziva on Medano Beach or Montage on Santa Maria Bay.
- Culinary excellence: The food is good, not great. If you're a serious food person, you'll want to eat off-property at Manta, Acre, or Flora Farms at least twice.
- Tranquility: This is not a quiet resort. The music plays, the activities are constant, and the energy is high. If you want serenity, look at Zadun, Las Ventanas, or a private villa.
- Exclusivity: Breathless is a large resort with 200+ rooms. You won't feel like you're at a boutique property. If personalized service matters, Le Blanc or Las Ventanas are better bets at higher price points.
Who Should Book Breathless
Bachelorette parties that want an all-inclusive party base. Friend groups (20s-30s) who want a social scene. Couples who enjoy high-energy vacations and want to meet other couples. Anyone who values the simplicity of all-inclusive at a moderate price point.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
Couples seeking romance and quiet. Anyone who prioritizes beach swimming. Food-driven travelers. People over 40 who cringe at pool DJs (no judgment, same). Honeymooners who want intimacy.
The Smart Breathless Move
Book Breathless for 2-3 nights as your party base, then move to a private villa or a quieter resort like Chileno Bay (Auberge) for the rest of your trip. This gives you the all-inclusive social experience without committing your entire vacation to that energy. Use the off-property days for the things Breathless can't provide: dinner at Sunset Monalisa, a sunset yacht charter, snorkeling at Chileno Bay, and the quieter side of Cabo.
